The FAG SNS -B Split Plummer Block Housing represents the latest evolution in bearing housing technology from Schaeffler, engineered for superior strength, extended bearing life, and simplified maintenance. Built from high-quality spheroidal graphite cast iron (GJS-400-15), the SNS-B series is designed for harsh industrial environments such as mining, aggregates, and heavy process industries where durability and reliability are critical.​

The SNS-B housing features a Bolt-On (B) seal design, ensuring robust protection against contaminant ingress and grease leakage. Its modular design allows easy interchangeability with earlier FAG series such as SD5 and SD6 while maintaining identical mounting dimensions. Available for shaft diameters from 115 mm to 530 mm, it supports both locating and non-locating bearing arrangements with spherical roller bearings mounted directly or via adapter sleeves.​

Optimised lubrication channels, including a long axial lubrication groove and grease outlet holes, ensure even lubricant distribution and efficient removal of excess grease. Additional design advantages include inclined run-off areas for reduced cleaning effort, machined locating faces for precise bearing alignment, and prepared mounting points for condition monitoring equipment.
