Ringfeder Steel Disc Couplings TND OCO
TND OCO steel disc couplings are designed for applications requiring minimal shaft spacing and rapid radial spacer removal without disturbing connected equipment.
Ringfeder TND OCO is a torsionally stiff, backlash-free steel disc coupling designed for precise torque transmission in applications where compact dimensions and easy maintenance access are important considerations.
The coupling consists of two standard hubs with open flanges (O) and a compact spacer (C) that can be installed and removed radially. Using high-strength screws, a disc pack is connected between each hub and the spacer, creating a double-cardanic system that provides reliable power transmission and effective shaft misalignment compensation.
Depending on coupling size, two disc pack types are available, HD (High Deflection) with increased compensation capability for shaft misalignments and HT (High Torque) with higher power density for increased transmissible torque requirements.
The double-jointed design with two disc packs compensates for angular, axial and radial shaft misalignments while requiring minimal axial installation space.
