Elephant Hydraulic Actuated Brakes

We supply a wide selection of hydraulic brakes, for when high braking forces are needed within a limited space.

Hydraulic braking systems are used where high braking force is needed within a limited space. Depending on the version, the braking system can be operated with either mineral oil or a water-in-oil emulsion. Due to the modular construction and our great variety of parts, these systems can also be optimally customised for a multitude of applications, no matter whether this involves small units for constricted spaces or corrosion-protected high-performance systems for ship engines or off-shore applications.

Products

Hydraulic Brakes

Type EB 108 / EB 115

Braking force up to 3.100 N

Size (mm): axial ~ 62+B; radial ~ 65 Mass (kg): 0.8

For pneumatic and hydraulic use cases. Light applications in general-purpose mechanical engineering and the textiles industry.

Hydraulic Brakes

Type R&H 215.251.01

Braking force up to 15,000 N

Size (mm): axial ~ 248; radial ~ 220 Mass (kg): 9.4

Hydraulically actuated, spring-adjusted brake deployed for tougher requirements. Mainly deployed in the steel-processing industry and hydro-power plants.

Hydraulic Brakes

Type R&H 350.204.01 / R&H 350.205.01

Braking force up to 38,000 N

Size (mm): axial ~ 370; radial ~ 398 Mass (kg): 50.5

Hydraulically actuated, spring-adjusted brake deployed for high brake torque requirements and very high braking forces.

Hydraulic Brakes

Type EB 255

Braking force up to 17,250 N

Size (mm): axial ~ 134; radial ~ 112 Mass (kg): 6.8

Hydraulically actuated brake calliper with compact design. The powerful EB 255 is deployable with various brake disc thicknesses and can be used with or without a spring retraction.

Hydraulic Brakes

Type EB 500

braking force up to 68,000 N

Size (mm): axial ~ 190; radial ~ 230 Mass (kg): 48

The EB 500 was designed for use in wind energy converters, ship propulsion and heavy industry. Corrosion protection through chemical nickel plating of the housing parts is standard for this brake. The braking force at p = 100 bar is 68,000 N; for static applications, the maximum pressure is 160 bar.
