We collaborated closely with the customer to understand their design requirements and provided a comprehensive quotation covering all mechanical components needed for the project. Our approach ensured that every part of the shuttle drive assembly was specified and sourced to meet performance, durability, and operational standards.
Problem
The customer required more than a standalone drive unit—they needed a complete turnkey solution that would integrate seamlessly into their operation. Alongside the dual-drive shuttle assembly, we supplied D5 track chains and hardened sprockets to deliver a fully functional system. By providing all key components, we ensured correct load capacity, alignment, and wear resistance, reducing compatibility risks and giving the customer a reliable drive system built for continuous heavy-duty performance.
Solution
The shuttle drive assembly was fully assembled, aligned, and function-tested in our facility to verify performance before delivery. Critical interfaces, couplings, and braking systems were pre-fitted to ensure accuracy and reduce commissioning risks. Once complete, the unit was secured on a transport-ready base for safe shipment to site. This approach minimized onsite handling, reduced installation time, and provided the customer with a reliable plug-and-play solution that could be brought online quickly and efficiently.

The shuttle drive has been in continuous operation for many years, proving its reliability in a demanding port environment where downtime directly impacts productivity. Its robust design and heavy-duty components have minimised wear, reduced unplanned stoppages and significantly extended service life. As a result, the customer has experienced lower maintenance costs, improved operational efficiency and sustained throughput. Project & Equipment & Labour
We supplied a dual-drive Bevel Helical Drive assembly capable of delivering over 50,000 Nm of torque, paired with an electric motor and drive coupling. A large gear coupling was fitted with brake discs, complemented by a dual hydraulic caliper brake system. Large 12-tooth drive sprockets, manufactured from hardened material, were included to ensure longevity in demanding operational conditions.
