A top tier mining company contacted us to provide, fit and improve a belt design. Their existing solution was causing costly downtime due to premature failure.
After an engineering review of the application, we designed and supplied over 50 aramid corded heavy duty belt drives which have been operating successfully for many years.
Schaeffler’s FAG Laser Trummy2 was used to ensure a correct fit. The belt alignment device is an easy-to-use measuring instrument which can be mounted in just a few seconds. Correct alignment is achieved once the laser beam is adjusted to coincide with the slots in the target marks. The laser beam can be seen clearly on the target marks.
