TransDrive HRC Couplings

Also called Lovejoy. HRC use a rubber insert to transmit torque and provide misalignment compensation. They are commonly used in applications such as fans and compressors.

HRC Coupling

TransDrive HRC Couplings provide a dependable and cost-effective solution for a wide range of power transmission applications. Each coupling is manufactured with two precision cast iron flanges and a flexible rubber element, designed to operate in compression to deliver smooth torque transmission while effectively dampening shock loads and vibration.

Engineered for convenience, the modular construction enables fast installation and simplified maintenance, helping minimise downtime in demanding industrial settings. The TransDrive HRC range is available in multiple configurations, including Nitrile and polyurethane flexible elements, along with pilot bore and taper lock hub options. This versatility ensures easy integration across various shaft sizes and machinery setups.

Benefits

  • Economy – Design of the HRC coupling has been optimised so that power capacities are balanced to the appropriate shaft diameters.
  • Resilience – Transient peak loads are reduced by a flexible element, deflection of which is a prime design consideration.
  • Misalignment – Incidental parallel angular and axial displacement of the connected shafts can be accommodated.
  • Installation – Is quick and easy without special tools, only a hexagon wrench is required.
  • Maintenance – Is virtually eliminated and no lubricant required.
  • Environment – The elastometric element makes it suitable for use in most conditions. An option of urethane element is also available.
  • Positive – In the unlikely event of the flexible element being destoryed, drive will be maintained by inner-action of the integrally cast driving dogs.

Taper Bushes

  • Fitted to the complete standard coupling range. Bored to size flanges are also available.
