XTSR52 Thomas Disc Couplings

The Rexnord Thomas XTSR52 spacer disc coupling is a general purpose high-speed, high-torque coupling used where minimum coupling weight is desirable. The Thomas XTSR52 couplings are API 610 and ISO 14691 compliant when specified as well as ATEX II 2GD c T6 certified. Typical applications include motor and turbine driven pumps, compressors, fans, synchronized rollers, wire feeders and blowers. XTSR52 couplings are compatible with one, two or three sizes larger hubs and available in 21 sizes ranging from 726 through 5258. The Thomas XTSR52 Coupling is engineered to accomodate torque loads up to 2,510,000 lb-in and shaft diameters up to 16.0 inches. XTSR71 Thomas Disc Couplings

The Rexnord Thomas XTSR71 spacer disc coupling is a high performance 3-piece design enabling compact packaging for critical operating conditions including API applications. The Thomas XTSR71 couplings are API 610, ISO 14691, and API 671 (ISO 10441) compliant when specified as well as ATEX II 2GD c T6 certified. Typical applications include motor and turbine driven pumps, compressors, fans, synchronized rollers, wire feeders and blowers. XTSR71 couplings are compatible with one or two sizes larger hubs and available in 21 sizes ranging from 726 through 5258. XTSRGA Thomas Disc Coupling

Thomas XTSRGA couplings directly replace lubricated gear couplings commonly found in many pulp and paper applications with long spans between connected equipment.  The XTSRGA coupling bolts up to the existing AGMA Standard rigid gear coupling hubs, enabling simple replacement of the floating shaft assembly.

XTSRGA couplings are available in 16 standard sizes with continuous torque capacity up to 1,130,000 lbs-in.

XTSRLS Thomas Disc Coupling

Thomas XTSRLS couplings are full-floating shaft couplings designed for applications with relatively long distances between connected equipment, either horizontally or vertically. XTSRLS couplings are ideal choice when shaft spacing exceeds maximum length of standard fully machined spacer designs (XTSR52 / XTSR71). Common applications include vertical pumps, fans & blowers, compressors, and paper machines.

  • XTSRLS52: Welded steel spacer with optional adapter for expanded bore capacity
  • XTSRLS71: Welded steel spacer with standard adapters for easier installation and greater bore capacity
  • XTSRLS71-C: Composite-material center spacer for lower overall weight versus all-steel models, enabling higher speeds and extended span distances

XTSRS Thomas Disc Coupling

Thomas XTSRS couplings are single flexing design that accommodates angular misalignment only. Typically used in three-bearing applications where the radial load is supported by the coupling, such as single bearing generators. Two XTSRS couplings may be combined with the intermediate shaft to support full-floating shaft applications.

XTSRS couplings are available in 23 standard sizes with continuous torque capacity up to 2,510,000 lbs-in.
